Ranil hands over Amendment to NCM

UNP Leader MP Ranil Wickremesinghe today handed over an Amendment to the No-Confidence Motion (NCM) against Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila to the Secretary-General of Parliament.

It has been proposed that the entire Cabinet of Ministers be included in the NCM.

The NCM was presented by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), led by Opposition Leader and SJB Leader Sajith Premadasa over the recent fuel price hike. Its two-day debate commenced today and the vote will be taken tomorrow.

The Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna (SLPP) has already decided to back Gammanpila in the no-confidence vote.
