Stockily built Ranuji took part in her first Table Tennis tournament in 2012 and became the champion in the Div. ‘C’ TT tournament organized by the Nittawela TT Club and in the Under fourteen age group she was in the Champion team along with Vishmi Galahitiyawa, Tharumini Jayasinghe and Navoda Munasinghe. In the same year she was a member of the winning TT team at the Triangular TT Tournament organized by the Old Rajans TT Club. In 2015 she won the Under thirteen novices title at the All Island Table Tennis Tournament held at S.Thomas’ College, Mt. Lavinia Sports complex and she won the Under thirteen Mayor’s Cup TT Tournament held at the Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo.
In the year 2016 Ranuji won the Under fifteen ‘B’ Division Championship at the All Island Table Tennis tournament and their team consisted of Vishmi Galahitiyawa, Nivanthi Ranaweera and Ranuji Dissanayake and they won the team Championship at the same tournament in 2017 and became Runner-up at the All Island Meet in the Under Sixteen age category in the Divisional Championship.
In 2018 her team of Girls High School, came third at the All Island ‘A’ Division TT Championship and in 2019 onwards she had to concentrate on Open TT Tournaments and in the School Inter House TT tournament from Langdon House, and their TT team won the School TT title beating Lawrence House team in the final. In the year 2020 her Table Tennis team became Champions in the Annual School TT Tournament beating Sampson House in the finals and after these victories she was appointed as the Junior Captain of the School Table Tennis Team.
She got through the G.C.E. (O/L) with Nine ‘A’ passes and her ambition is to improve her Table Tennis to emerge as a National and International TT Player.
