Foreign nationals and Dual Citizens holding foreign passports are no longer required to obtain Civil Aviation Authority and Foreign Ministry approval to arrive in the country. Health Services Director General Dr.Asela Gunawardena yesterday evening issued a circular amending the quarantine measures for travellers arriving from overseas during the COVID-19 pandemic.Accordingly, the requirement to obtain Foreign Ministry and Civil Aviation Authority approval to arrive in the country by foreign nationals and dual citizens holding foreign passports has been cancelled.“These new guidelines are effective for travellers arriving in Sri Lanka from September and for the travellers who have already arrived in Sri Lanka, ‘’ the Circular said.
