Reshan, Atshaya win top divisions at Regional Golf
Reshan Algama showcased his exceptional golfing prowess by securing a resounding victory in the Gold Division Category for Boys at the Prima Sunrise Bread Junior Golf Tournament held at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) from July 29 to 30.
The young golfer dominated the competition, finishing a staggering 17 strokes ahead of the runner-up, Jevhan Sathasivam, and a further 3 strokes ahead of joint third-place finishers, Jacob Norton and Pranav Muralitharan.
Algama’s remarkable performance included a commendable 2-over-par in the 1st Round and an even-par round in the second, resulting in an impressive total score of 144. The challenging and tricky NEGC Course proved no match for the dispute junior number one golfer.
