Royal Polonnaruwa meets Vidyaloka Galle in semis today

Royal College Polonnaruwa will meet Vidyaloka College Galle in the semi final of the Under 19 division 3 Tier A Inter schools limited Overs cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and sponsored by Sri Lanka Cricket at St. Anthony’s College Wattala today.

Royal Polonnaruwa advanced to the pre quarter final round as group champion in the first round. Royal College Polonnaruwa beat S. De S. Jayasinghe Central College Dehiwala in the pre quarter final round. Quarter finals between Royal College Polonnaruwa and Wadduwa Central College ended without result due to rain. Royal College Polonnaruwa advanced to the semi final with the highest average points against Wadduwa Central College.

Vidyaloka College Galle advanced to the second round as runner up in their group in the first round. Vidyaloka beat Skandavarodaya College Jaffna in the second round. Vidyaloka beat Rajasinghe Central College Hanwella in the pre quarter finals and beat St. John’s College Nugegoda in the quarter final.

Hasiru Dandeniya is the captain of Royal College Polonnaruwa and Vidyaloka College Galle will be led by Dasun Chamod.
