Royal shuttlers win Schools Games Championship

Royal College Colombo Badminton team won the Under 20 All Island National schools championship after 10 years. They defeated Ananda college Colombo 10 (3 – nil) at the Royal College Sports Complex .

National player Dumindu Abeywickrama’ led the winning spree and guided to get this victory. Winning the first singles against Induru (2-0), then the double was won by Oshamika Karunaratne and Tharusha Madhubanu against Genuka and Thisun (2-0) and finally the singles player Thenuka de Silva sealed off the win by beating Kaviru (2-1) to get this Royal team victory .
