The 4th Annual Royal -Thomian masters Cricket Encounter will be played on November 27 at the Colombo Colts Cricket Ground, Colombo 05, commencing at 10 am.
Thomian Masters Cricket is the brain child of veteran cricketer Deepal Ahangama. Thomian Masters will be led by Johann Peiris, who captained S.Thomas’ in the Centenary Royal Thomian in 1979 and 60+ Sri Lanka Cricket team in the recently concluded 60+ World Cup in Australia. . Hard hitting batters Vajira Wijegunawardena and Naresh Adikaram together with Johann Peiris, Anura Bulankulame , Ramesh Wannakuwatte, Suresh Bulankulame NIC Silva, Ranil Peiris comprise of a formidable batting line up for the Thomian Masters.
Royal Masters will be led by Nalliah Devarajan, who is also a popular match referee , also Captained the Jaffna Masters and Lanka Cavaliers teams.Royal Masters will depend on their star batter Shezard Nizar to give them a solid start as an opener. He is in good form after scoring a century against Emerging Masters recently. Chintaka Edirimanne another talented batter can play a major role at this encounter. The Royal Masters too have a formidable batting line up comprising of Dharsha Abeywardena and Sisila Indraratne Lasantha Perera, Amal Karunaratne, Gihan Shiromal, Sajith Liyanage in addition to Chintaka Edirimanne, Shezard Nizar and Nalliah Devarajan.
