Rs. 1 mn worth equipment donated by Herbline
A stock of equipment worth Rs. 1 million including wheelchairs and a multipara monitor was donated by Herbline Chairman Priyadarshana Bentotaarachchi to the Health Ministry yesterday.
The event was held at the Health Ministry under the patronage of State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics and Covid Disease Control Dr. Sudarshini Fernandopulle.
The stock of equipment provided by Herbline includes 10 wheelchairs and a multipara monitor. More equipment will be donated in the future.
Speaking on the occasion, the State Minister said that Herbline has also donated wheelchairs to the Health Ministry, while caring for hospitals and various communities since the Covid period.
She also stated that action will be taken to provide them to disabled persons who have requested for them. Herbline has taken steps to provide medical equipment to the Mahiyangana Hospital during the Covid period and today action was taken to provide the necessary patient monitors for the Katuwana Hospital. She thanked the Chairman of Herbline and all others for their support. Herbline Head of Business Sanjeewa Ganegoda, Ajith Kumarasinghe and others were also present on the occasion.
