Rulers deceiving the masses – NPP

National People’s Power (NPP) National Executive Committee Member Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, said that the common people are engaged in protests with a good understanding.

He said so while addressing a meeting held in Kalutara recently.

He said that the rulers who had demanded a vote in the past are now avoiding holding elections. He further said that the common struggle has come to the fore now.

He also said that rulers who do not understand the power of the people are deceiving them by spreading various lies. However, we saw how one of the Presidents of this country had to relinquish power in the face of the power of the people.

He said that a group of youth including JVP Founder Rohana Wijeweera formed the JVP in the past to change the existing capitalist rule in the country and create a fair society for the people.
