Rupavahini to serve viewers novel political fare

As the latest programme from the Current Affairs Unit of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC), ‘Dishava – Kaleena Sanvada Adapeya’ has been arranged to be broadcast live from Monday to Friday, from 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

The first episode of this series was telecast yesterday (7). The programme aims to present meaningful discussions to television viewers, where representatives of the public engage in debates over political, social, and economic themes of current relevance. The goal is to bring opposing views from both government and opposition parties into a close and engaging debate.

In addition, a political discussion titled ‘Kara Harinu Noheki Thena – Karata Kara’ will be broadcast live every Monday night at 10.00 pm, featuring intense debates on opposing political views.

Moreover, the live programme ‘Public Day’ will be aired every Wednesday night at 10.00 pm, during which government officials will be questioned directly about decisions, policies, and issues concerning the public.
