Rupee appreciation claim false – JVP

JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva said the government’s claim that the Rupee is strong is false. He also said that the published reports about strengthening the rupee cannot be accepted.

He was speaking at press conference in Colombo. He emphasized that today Sri Lanka has become a country that does not have enough money to hold an election.

“The government suddenly says that the rupee has strengthened. But these claims are false,” he said. Silva added that the Election Commission should inform the exact date of the election.
