Rupee depreciates further

Sri Lankan rupee has further depreciated against the US Dollar, as per the official exchange rate announced by the Central Bank yesterday.

Accordingly, the official selling rate and buying rate of the US dollar stands at Rs. 308.49 and Rs. 298.10 respectively.

The official selling rate of US dollar exceeded Rs. 300 mark on Tuesday (April 5) for the first time in Sri Lankan history. Meanwhile, the official selling rate of Euro and Sterling Pound is listed at Rs 339.07 and Rs 404.71 respectively.
