Russia invited to invest in SL’s Transport and Highways sector

A discussion between Russian Ambassador to Sri Lanka Levan S. Dzhagaryan and Transport, Highways and Mass Media Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardhana was held at the Minister’s office on Wednesday.

The discussion centred on further strengthening the cultural and economic relations and diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The Minister briefed the Ambassador about the investment opportunities in the highway and transport sector in the country.

Attention was also paid to many bilaterally important matters, including the contribution of Russia’s Information Technology knowledge to the digitalization of the country’s transportation sector.

A group of officials including Maria L. Popova, First Secretary of the Russian Embassy, were present at this meeting.
