Sabaragamuwa PC holds mobile service

Sabaragamuwa Provincial Mobile Service was held recently (4) at Kalawana National School under the patronage of Governor Navin Dissanayake.

Here, the services of the Government, Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council, district and regional secretariats and the private sector were provided to the people of the area.

People were advised and guided for self-employment opportunities. The participants obtained training and consultancy services in managing an agriculture business, training in milk by-products, training in tailoring and so on.

Services including counselling related to health, an ayurvedic clinic and mobile laboratory services were available.

Services were also available for transport, lands, education and environment matters. Under this, receiving public complaints and suggestions related to Local Government bodies, road passenger transport services and vehicle scanning services at subsidized rates and probation and childcare services were provided.

Under the vocational training programme, many services were implemented including recruiting apprentices to Karavita and Pothupitiya handicrafts training centres, providing awareness of Sabaragamuwa hotel management courses, and providing comprehensive advice on foreign employment.
