Sachitra undergoes voice test at Analyst’s office

Cricketer Sachitra Senanayake was called to the Government Analyst’s Department yesterday (13) for a voice test.

Former national player Senanayake was accused of making phone calls to two players who participated in the first Premier League cricket tournament held in Sri Lanka and trying to get their support to fix matches was earlier arrested and remanded.

The Deputy Solicitor General, who appeared for the Attorney General’s Department, informed court that his department had received the audio tapes related to the match-fixing incident and an analysis should be performed to confirm whether the audio tapes match the suspect’s voice.

Accordingly, according to an order issued by the court in the last trial, Senanayake was taken to the Government Analyst’s department for a voice test.
