Sajith and Dullas hold talks

Opposition and SJB leader Sajith Premadasa and SLPP MP Dullas Alahapperuma, two aspirants for the Presidency met yesterday for talks, party sources said.

Their meeting in Colombo was also attended by several close confidantes of the two leaders, according to Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) sources.

SJB sources however did not reveal the outcome of the talks but said it was very likely the two aspirants for the Presidency will meet again before handing over nominations in Parliament today. Premadasa and Alahapperuma also held separate talks with representatives of the alliance of 11 parties. Meanwhile, a group of SLPP Parliamentarians had met Acting President Ranil Wickremesinghe for talks. It is reported that more than 100 SLPP MP’s had participated. Also the CWC and the TNA have said they will take a decision on whom to vote for today.
