Sajith says not afraid, ready to take on anyone

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa told Parliament yesterday that he is not afraid of anyone and is ready to face anyone even alone.

He said that when he was raising questions under standing Orders 27(2) as Opposition Leader, several members of the ruling party came to the middle of the chamber and obstructed his questioning.

He said that SLPP MP Sanath Nishantha snatched all the files he had and he could not carry out his work without those files as there were many important letters and documents in those files.

The Opposition Leader further said that since MP Sanath Nishantha stole those files in the presence of the Speaker, he should know what action will be taken in this regard as his privileges were violated due to this activity.

The Opposition Leader said many important letters in the file received by the Serjeant-at-Arms had been missing by that time
