Sajith to begin campaign rallies on August 16

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, who is running as the SJB candidate at the upcoming Presidential Election will address 100 public rallies countrywide beginning from Kurunegala on August 16, SJB national organizer Tissa Attanayake said. He said after nominations Premadasa will take part in religious observances in Kandy and the first main public rally will be held in Kurunegala.

In addition to the main rallies there will be 400 to 500 public meetings at a lesser level in all constituencies, he added.

Apart from that, SJB has also planned to hold 12,000 pocket meetings at the polling station level, he said.
