Sajith won’t be PM under Ranil – Attanayake

The Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB) leader Sajith Premadasa will not accept the post of Prime Minister if Ranil Wickremesinghe becomes the President, Party’s National Organizer Tissa Attanayake said yesterday.

Meanwhile in a tweet Premadasa yesterday said he was campaigning hard to try and persuade the MPs opposed to him to vote for him.

“Tough going since it is the Gotabaya-Ranil majority. Tried explaining to them the futility of continuing to support Rajapaksa’s corrupt and crony politics,” he added.

Premadasa earlier said he would contest for Presidency in a poll slated to be held in Parliament on July 20.
