Salon owner who aided Priyamali remanded

A Beauty Salon owner, who was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department over aiding and abetting Thilini Priyamali, was ordered to be remanded till November 30 by Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage yesterday.

The Criminal Investigations Department informed the Magistrate that the suspect had defrauded Rs.14 million along with Thilini Priyamali The suspect was arrested on the charge of aiding and abetting Thilini Priyamali, who sold a vehicle belonging to a businessman and defrauded the said money.

The suspect was arrested following a complaint lodged by Shenath Rajendra.
