Sanchi Mahabodhi Festival on November 25 and 26
The Sanchi Mahabodhi Festival in India will be held on November 25 and 26 at the Sanchi Chethiyagiri Vihara, Incumbent of Chethiyagiri Viharaya, Chairman of Sri Lanka Maha Bodhi Society and Chief Sanghanayaka of Japan Ven. Banagala Upatissa Thera said.

Sariyuth Mugalan relic exposition at the Sanchi Stupa Complex in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, in a grand manner this time. The Sanchi Stupa was built by Emperor Dharmashoka in the 2nd Century BC.

The Thera said that nearly 100,000 Indian Buddhist devotees and Buddhist devotees and monks from countries such as Sri Lanka, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Vietnam and Myanmar will attend the Sanchi Mahabodhi Festival this year.
Chief Incumebant of Sanchi Chethiyagiri Vihara Ven. Banagala Upatissa Thera said that the Sri Lanka Mahabodhi Association, Madhya Pradesh Government and Ambedkar Buddhist Association have already made the necessary arrangements for the visiting Buddhist monks and nuns and devotees to the festival.
It is reported that the Central Government of India has made arrangements to stop all passenger trains from Bhopal and suburban cities passing through Sanchi at the Sanchi railway station on these two days.
A group of Sri Lankan journalists will cover the Sanchi Mahabodhi Festival this year and arrangements have been made to broadcast the ‘Sadaham Dahara’ Poya programme live from the Sanchi Chethiyagiri Vihara.
It will be broadcast on the Sinhala Commercial Service of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (94.3/94.5 FM), Ven. Udugama Tapassi Thera, a resident of Sanchi Chethiyagiri Vihara, also said.
