Sashmi bags Mrs Earth International 2023

Sashmi Dissanayake, 21 years old from Ampara, who won the title of ‘Mrs Earth International 2023’, arrived at Katunayake International Airport yesterday afternoon.

The tournament was held from July 17 to July 22 in Manila, Philippines with the participation of 60 contestants from 45 countries.

“I am very happy about my victory. Because of this, I was able to take my country to a higher place. I did not come this journey alone. Teacher Rukmal Senanayake, National Director Charith Gunaratne and Producer Isuru Gunasekara also helped me in this achievement. Also, my parents and my husband helped a lot,” she said.
