Sasmitha and Amal steer St. Joseph Vaz to victory over Benedictines

St. Joseph Vaz’ Sasmitha Fernando and Amal Perera steered them to a first innings win against St. Benedict’s College Kotahena in the fixture of the second round of the Under 13 division One inter schools cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association with the sponsorship of Sri Lanka Cricket.

Left hander Sasmitha Fernando made a century and Amal Perera, right arm off spinner, claimed 6 wickets for 27 runs.

Royal College Colombo, St. Joseph’s College Colombo, St. Joseph Vaz College Wennappuwa, Prince of Wales College Moratuwa, Devapathiraja College Rathgama, Mahinda College Galle and Wesley College Colombo advanced to the pre quarter final round.
