“School is still waiting for bus promised by Sajith”

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Badulla District Parliamentarian Vadivel Suresh yesterday said the SJB and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa after promising to donate a bus to Madulsima Tamil School about six months ago, had failed to honour the promise and the people in the area were still waiting in hope that the promise will be kept.

He said when Premadasa did not turn up for a planned event where the bus was to be donated six months ago, he had asked the SJB leader to come later and apologize to the people, but he had not done that as well.

“The People of Madulsima are still waiting,” he said.

The MP was speaking to a group of journalists in the Passara area following a public event.

He said the current era was not the time to engage in partisan politics and added that everyone irrespective of politics and other issues should work together to rescue country from the economic crisis.
