Second KSPL cricket tourney from April 1 to 3

The second KSPL (Kandy Schools Provincial Level) Cricket Tournament will be held at the Asgiriya International Cricket Grounds from 1st to 3rd of April,2022 and a discussion in this regard was held presided over by Amarasiri Piyadasa, (Director of Education), Ajith Alwis (Managing Director of Infortek Company) Saman Jayaratne (Education Event organizer) and Indika Wijesiri (Kandurata Sewaya Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation) attended by Dr.Prasad Medawatte, a Doctor attached to the Asiri Hospital,Kandy, Athula Jayawardena, Director of Sports of Dept. of Education(CP) and Ranjith Suraweera, representative of Mr. Mack Institution and the main sponsors will be Thusitha Wijesena of Kandy City Centre

Last year only Six Schools participated in this tournament but the Organizers decided to increase the number of teams to eight and the two new schools will be Sri Rahula Katugastota and Sri Sumangala, Kandy other than participants of last year, Dharmaraja, Kingswood, Trinity,St.Anthonys, St. Sylvesters and Vidyartha, and Last years winners were St.Anthonys while the Runners-up were St.Sylvesters. As decided the organizing part will be handled by Infortek Company supported by Saman Jayaratne and the health part will be by Indika Wijesiri of Asiri Hospital, Kandy assisted by Dr. Prasad Medawatte.
