Earlier permission was given for monthly poojas and special poojas in those temples, but after considering the requests made by the temple trustees and civic organizations, the Security Forces Headquarters have decided to allow devotees and trustees of the temples to hold weekly poojas.

The Sri Lankan Army provided all the necessary facilities for the people who gathered for the poojas recently including health, transportation and hygiene facilities and the Divisional Secretary of Thelippalai was also present.

The temples which were extensively damaged during the period of the war against terrorism are still in dilapidated condition.
