Athlete, School, Divisional and Zonal Champion, All Island schools John Tarbet record holder, and Gold Medalist and Sri Lanka Athlete in SAF Games in 2018 Senuri Anuththara has brought honour and immense glory to her school Dharmapala Vidyalaya Pannipitiya and her motherland with her deeds on the athletic field.

Senuri was born on 3 rd March 2002 and in 2015 was admitted to Dharmapala Vidyalaya and she came under Duleep Dushmantha the Athlete Coach.

Same year at the school meet she won Long Jump and High Jump and came second in 100 metres and in the Divisional she won the High Jump and came second in 100 metres and at the Zonal she won the High Jump event and at the Junior John Tarbet she won a Gold Medal for High Jump in the under 14 age group. In 2016 she was the school under 16 Champion by winning the 100 and 300 metre Hurdles and 100 and the Divisional and Zonal too she was the Champion.

Same year at the Junior John Tarbet Meet she equalled the 100 metre hurdles by clocking 15.6 seconds and at the All Island Schools Meet too in the 300 metre Hurdle event she equalled the record by clocking 45.0 seconds and she came second in 100 metre hurdles.

Then in 2017 she was the school and Divisional Champion and at the Provincial 100 metres she came first with a record of 15.2 seconds and under 16 event in the John Tarbet she came first and second in 300 hurdles and in the All Island Schools Meet under 16 event she won the 100 hurdles and received Colours.

In 2018 in the under 18 category she was the school Divisional and Zonal Champion and in the Provincial in 100 metre hurdles she set a record by clocking 15.1 seconds. Then in the Senior John Tarbet she finished the 100 metre hurdles with a new record of 14.1 seconds and in the All Island Schools Meet too she set a record in the 100 metre hurdles with a record timing of 15.1 seconds. Same year at the John Tarbet Meet in the Open 100 meters she came third and in the same year she was selected for the SAF Games in Sri Lanka and in the 100 metre hurdles she qualified timing 14.2 seconds.

She became the school under 20 Champion at the school meet and at the Divisional and Zonal and at the Provincial Meet she won the 100 hurdles with a record of 14.8 seconds and at the John Tarbet too she set a record of 14.6 and at the All Island Schools too she set a new record with a timing of 14.5 seconds.
