Sergeant surrenders after alleged sexual assault

A Police Sergeant who sexually assaulted a 13-year -old girl surrendered himself to the Walasmulla Magistrate’s Court with the help of lawyers on Sunday (15) while Police were conducting investigations regarding that incident.

This surrendered person was a Police Sergeant attached to the Walasmulla Police.

Magistrate released this suspect on two personal bails of Rs.300, 000 each and this case will be recalled on November 20, said the Galle Divisional Child and Women’s Bureau. They also said that this Sergeant has surrendered to the Court through a motion.
