Sevanagala OIC submits anticipatory bail application

The Sevanagala Police OIC who has been accused of sexually assaulting an apprentice female Police Constable attached to the Sevanagala Police, has submitted an anticipatory bail application to the Embilipitiya Magistrate’s Court through a lawyer.

The Embilipitiya Magistrate had ordered the children and Women Bureau in Colombo on August on August 23 to arrest the OIC.

The Magistrate issued the order to arrest the OIC for investigation of a complaint made to the the Colombo Women and Child Protection Authority that an apprentice police constable who was attached to the Sevanagala Police had been sexually assaulted by the Sevanagala Police OIC. The suspect has taken leave for 3 days on August 13 and he has

not reported to work till now.
