Seven teams advance to Under 19 Division III cricket quarter finals

Defending champion Methodist High School Moratuwa advanced to the quarter final of the Under 19 division Three Tier ‘A’ Inter Schools Cricket tournament conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association.

Last year runner up Jaffna Central College, Sri Pragnananda MV Raddoluwa, Loyola College Negombo, Debarawewa National School, Harischandra National School and Sri Sumangala College Kandy also entered quarter finals.

Methodist High School Moratuwa beat St. Joseph’s College Wattala by nine wickets in the pre quarter final. Jaffna Central College beat St. Aloysius College Ratnapura by three wickets at Jaffna and Sri Pragnananda MV Raddoluwa beat Gamini National School Bentota by 53 runs at Bentota in the pre quarter finals. Loyola College Negombo beat Rajasinghe Central College Hanwella by 19 runs according to the Parabola Method at Giriulla and Sri Sumangala College Kandy beat President’s College Maharagama by 39 runs at Kandy in the pre quarter finals.

Debarawewa National School beat Maris Stella College Thimbirigaskatuwa by eight wickets in the pre quarter final at Thimbirigaskatuwa and Harischandra National School beat Ibbagamuwa Central College by 47 runs according Parabola Method in the pre quarter final played at Albert F. Pieris stadium Wennappuwa.
