Seven water leak points identified in Samanalawewa – Minister

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera yesterday disclosed that seven water leakage points have been identified in the Samanalawewa reservoir belonging to the Ceylon Electricity Board. Several parts of the country including Colombo has been experiencing heavy rains since yesterday morning. The highest rainfall has been reported from Nakiyadeniya in Galle during the past 24 hours and the Building Research Organization has issued warning of possible earthslips and cut failures for four districts for the next 24 hours.
