Seventy nine year old Carl Quintus Fernando for World Masters Games

Seventy nine year old former Prince of Wales College Moratuwa, Sachiththananda Schokman Wijeratne Company, Ceylon Government Railways and presently Moratuwa and Colombo District Masters Long Distance Athlete Carl Quintus Fernando has qualified for the forthcoming World Masters in 75-80 age group at the Asian Games to be held in China and at the recently held Asian Games Final Trials held at Sugathadasa Stadium Colombo He has won Gold Medals for 800 and 1500 metres and Triple Chase Events.

Furthermore at the last December Masters Meet held at Sugathadasa Stadium in his events he won two Golds one Silver and a Bronze and in this years February meet too he won three Golds and one Silver and he has grabbed 11 medals which includes eight Golds two Silvers and one Bronze.
