Shakib stars in Bangladesh’s big win

Shakib Al Hasan starred with bat and ball as Bangladesh recorded a massive 84-run victory over Papua New Guinea (PNG) in their ICC T20 World Cup match played at Al Amerat in Muscat yesterday.

The dynamic all-rounder hit a 37-ball 46 inclusive of three sixes to help Bangladesh amass a formidable 181 for seven after they had elected to bat first.

Shakib then made life even more difficult for the PNG batters as he ran through their batting order with an outstanding spell of four wickets for nine runs from four overs.
