Shanakiyan meets ACJU General Secretary over Anojan’s release

Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) Parliamentarian Shanakiyan Rasamanickam stated that the General Secretary of the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU), Ash-Shaikh Arkam Nooramith, has assured full support towards securing the release of Sivarasa Anojan.

In a statement shared on his official facebook page, the Parliamentarian stated that he met and held discussions with the ACJU General Secretary during a special reception organized by the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Sri Lanka to mark the 96th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The event was attended following an invitation extended by Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia to Sri Lanka, Yaser Abdulrahman Al-Hazme.

Rasamanickam stressed that it is a collective responsibility to mobilize support through all possible efforts for the release of Anojan Sivarasa, noting that every bit of support received in this matter is crucial. (Newswire)
