Shastri shocked at Sri Lanka’s Cricket crisis

Former Indian all rounder and coach Ravi Shastri who was with the England and Netherlands game international commentary panel was shocked about present situation of Sri Lanka cricket.

When this writer met him during the dinner break in a friendly chat, Ravi asked what has happened to Sri Lanka cricket. He told during this World Cup matches he never expected this type of cricket crisis in Sri Lanka. Why Sri Lankan officials and politicians clash each other and I am sure this will end very soon for the benefit of Sri Lanka cricket, added Ravi.

I was not in Delhi to see Sri Lanka and Bangladesh match and never going to tell about Mathew’s timed out incident. I am a former Indian coach but no idea to go for that role once again. Now I am satisfied with cricket TV commentaries, said Ravi Shastri.

Former India all rounder Shastri compared Glenn Maxwell to Kapil Dev after heroic innings of 201 and said ‘Stunning’. Reminds me of Indian great skipper Kapil Dev in 1983 World Cup.
