‘Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort will be celebrating their fourth anniversary on February 20 and is looking out for the best festive season this year since its launch.
The hotel was launched nearly four years ago bringing the much needed globally acclaimed five-star sentiment to the area, but it failed to completely take off due to the COVID Pandemics and the economic crisis that followed.

The hotel also appointed a new General Manager Mano Gunasekera, who said that with tourism picking up, for the first time they are experiencing high occupancies. “The forward bookings too are very impressive and since its launch, 2023 will be the best year for the hotel.”
He said that through their global chain and marketing companies ‘Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort’ extensively marketed bringing in high end clientele while the local guests too add up to boost their arrivals. “We also have around 20% walk-in guests and with numbers picking up we hope to end the 2024 year with around 70% occupancy.”
To end the 2023 year on a high note the management has put together their best for the year end with a special 31-night package with Omega band in attendance. “We have added many news features and this will be a nite that should not be missed,” he said.
Executive Chef Romesh Kularatnam said that they have also created several varieties of wining and dining options for the 31st night buffet.
The hotel has 172 rooms, including 2 Bedroom Presidential Suite, Bedroom and 10 other suites, 11 rooms with plunge pools and other luxury rooms overlooking the Indian ocean. It also has two swimming pools. Spa, fitness center, kids activity center, several indoor and outdoor restaurants and lounges and large garden area all laid out in a 6 acre land.
The hotel also offers modern facilities for conference and weddings and also organizes excursions to Turtle hatcheries, river safaris, Galle Fort and other places of interest.
