Silumina Dep. Editor 1 of ‘100 Outstanding Persons’

Silumina Deputy Editor, Senior Journalist Sumudu Chaturani Jayawardena was a recipient of the ‘One Hundred Outstanding Persons’ Awards granted by the Ahasa Media Institute for 2022 in recognition of their contributions and services in various fields. Jayawardena was recognised for her role in, and contribution to, print and electronic media during almost two decades. The award was given in recognition of her efforts to foster Sinhala literature. The awards ceremony was held at the BMICH in Colombo under the patronage of Justice Minister Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe. Here, the special guest at the awards ceremony, Rear Admiral Dr. Sarath Weerasekera presenting the award to Jayawardena.
