Siri Ranasinghe to be feted on Dec. 20

A felicitation ceremony named Siri Asiri to honour veteran journalist Siri Ranasinghe who has continuously held the editorship of Lankadeepa for 33 consecutive years will be held at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute (SLFI) on December 20.

The ceremony will be held under the patronage of Chairman of the Wijeya Newspapers Ranjith Wijewardene. Special lectures will be delivered by the Chief Prelate of Amarapura Sri Dharmarakshitha Maha Nikaya, Most Ven. Thirikunamalaye Ananda Thera, retired principal, Deiyandara Amara Gunasekara, veteran journalist, Thilakaratne Kuruwita Bandara and Prof. Sena Nanayakkara of the Mass Communications Section of the Rajarata University. The ceremony will be compered by veteran journalist Saman Athaudahetti.
