Six cases against Priyamali, seven others to be taken up on September 13

Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage yesterday ordered six cases be taken up for hearing again on September 13 for further reports in the cases filed in the Fort Magistrate’s Court against Thilini Priyamali, the owner of the Thiko Group, the main suspect in the case where she is said to have taken millions of rupees from businessmen in Sri Lanka and defrauded them, and seven other suspects including her boyfriend Isuru Bandara, Borella Sirisumana Thera, Krrish Group Director Janaki Soysa Siriwardena.

When the cases filed by the Criminal Investigation Department were taken up for hearing in open court, the suspects who had been released on bail were also present in open court.

Six cases against Thilini Priyamali and two cases against her lover Isuru Bandara were called in open court.

The Criminal Investigation Department informed court when the main case against Thilini Priyamali was called that she had received Rs.3,000 million in her account without any source of income until last July.

The Criminal Investigation Department also informed court that three new complaints have been received against the suspect woman and the group in relation to Rs.873 million, a gold necklace worth Rs.800,000, a kilo of gold worth over ten million rupees and Rs.226 million and that more investigations are being carried out.
