Six who entered Nuwaragala Reserve to hunt animals arrested
A team of Mangalagama Police officers arrested six people who had entered the Nuwaragala Reserve to hunt animals along with two firearms on Sunday (13) night.
The Police Media Spokesperson’s Office said that the two firearms were locally made guns.
Mangalagama Police stated that the arrested suspects are aged 18, 19, 24, 33 and 58 years residing in Kachchikudi, Swamimalai.
The Police said that the raid was carried out by the Police based on the information provided by the officers of Pulkunawa Army Camp.
The suspects are to be produced before the Ampara Magistrate Court.
