SJB Alliance will field Common Candidate for Prez in 2025 – MP

Samagi Jana Balawegaya National Organizer MP Tissa Attanayake yesterday said that all forces in the Opposition will be brought under a wide alliance named the Samagi Jana Bala Sandanaya. This is aimed to contest for the next Presidential election in 2025 and the United National Party can also join this alliance, he said.Attanayake said that this Alliance will field a common candidate for the next Presidential election. He was addressing the media after calling on Anunayake of Chula Gandhi Parshawaya of Sri Lanka Amarapura Maha Nikaya Most Ven. “UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe’s entry into Parliament is not an issue for us. There will be a time in the country soon in which we all can work together,” he said.Attanayake said that that they are in the process of gaining the support of all Parties in the Opposition to form a broader alliance to contest the next Presidential election. “UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe can make contribution to this broader alliance, he said.

“Banning chemical fertilizer imports is a sound decision but the farmers cannot resort to organic farming overnight”, he said.
