SJB names Sajith as their next Presidential candidate

The Working Committee of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) yesterday unanimously decided to name  Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa as the next Presidential candidate of the party.

Accordingly, a proposal submitted by SJB General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara and former MP Sujeewa Senasinghe in this regard was unanimously passed by the SJB Working Committee. The meeting took place yesterday evening under the patronage of Party Leader Sajith Premadasa. Premadasa, addressing the meeting said that he will work to build a broad coalition of political parties and organisations under the leadership of the SJB.

General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara, National Organizer Tissa Attanayake and MP Lakshman Kiriella were assigned to take action against those violating discipline.
