SJB will set up international-standard youth development centres – Sajith
We will establish international-standard youth development centres with the aim of enhancing the Information Technology and language skills of the country’s youth, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Presidential Candidate Sajith Premadasa said.
He made these remarks while speaking at a SJB rally for the upcoming Presidential Election in Dambulla yesterday (16).
Premadasa further said, “A SJB government will be committed to empowering agriculture by providing necessary support to farmers. We will provide a guaranteed price of Rs. 5,000 for a 50kg fertiliser bag. This initiative will benefit both the farmers and consumers, ensuring a sustainable process. Additionally, we will provide fuel subsidies to three-wheeler drivers, fishermen, farmers, school transport operators, and owners of rice mills.
“We will establish modern youth development centres with international standards to enhance the skills of the youth. Through these centres, young people will be provided with knowledge in fields such as IT, computer science, English language skills, and foreign languages.
“We are also initiating large-scale storage complexes and cold storage facilities to support the farmers of the country. Under our government, hospitals in the Matale region will be upgraded for better healthcare. Furthermore, we will ensure justice for all individuals affected by political victimisation. We also promise to address the human–elephant conflict issues.”
