SJB works for people’s benefit – Sajith

Opposition Leader and Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB) Sajith Premadasa said in the last 74 years what the Opposition has done in this country was trying to topple the Government in power through struggles, marches, agitations etc.

He said this while participating on the occasion to donate a bus to the Lalith Alumnamudali National School in Mount Lavinia under the SJB programne ‘Sakwala’ .

However, he said that the current main opposition led by him was different from this practice.

He also said what the new generation demands was a system change, a Government that truly works for the people’s benefit.

“Our programmes ‘Husma’ and ‘Sakwala’ are in accordance with the system change that the youth want. Along with the 67th bus that we are donating today, we have donated buses worth over Rs.324 million to the Government school system. Do you rememebr any opposition party doing such work in the past,” he said.
