Skipper Gimadu Malcolm scored a fine knock of unbeaten 73 as Sri Lanka Deaf team defeated Pakistan Deaf team by 8 runs in their first T20 cricket fixture played at Mahinda Rajapaksa International cricket stadium Hambantota on Monday.
The stylish opener Malcolm scored brisk knock of 73 in 59 balls 7 fours and six while his co- opener Dinuka Sachin scored 25 in 23 balls with 2 fours made a solid start adding 69 runs in 8.3 overs which guided Sri Lanka side to reach 150 for 2 wickets in 20 overs while Pakistan Deaf team was managed to get 142 for 4 wickets and Sri Lanka Deaf team recorded a thrilling 8 runs win.
The second T20 between the two teams played yesterday at the same venue while Pakistan Deaf team recorded seven wickets victory over Sri Lanka Deaf team to finish T 20 series 1 all draw. The experienced cricket umpire and match referee Sena Nandiweera was officiated as match referee at this cricket series.
The two teams will be played three ODI match series which will commence today (6) at the same venue.
