Jayamanne will compete in the Women’s 100m while Abeywardena will compete in the Men’s 400m first-round heats with the semi-finals scheduled on the same day.
In addition, the Sri Lanka 4x400m mixed relay team will also make their first appearance in the first-round heats today. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s COVID Liaison Officer Dr Dhammika Senanayake said that all team members are in good health and are confident of putting up a good performance after having successfully completed their medical reports.
