SL leads world in most jabbed for COVID

Sri Lanka became the world’s most vaccinated country in terms of population last week.

This was stated by the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka, quoting Our World, a data analysis firm on vaccination and COVID.

Accordingly, Sri Lanka has vaccinated 13% of the country’s population last week.

Equador has secured the second place by fully vaccinating 12.5 per cent of the population.

Brunei and New Zealand have become third and fourth places.During the past week Cuba has succeeded in vaccinating 11.2 per cent in terms of population while South Korea is at 9.4 per cent.

State Pharmaceuticals Corporation Chairman Dr.Prasanna Gunasena said that Sri Lanka’s vaccination drive has posted resounding progress when compared to other countries in the world.
