SLAF disperses Pirith water from aircraft in prayer for rain
The Sri Lanka Air Force has used a Y-12 aircraft to disperse blessed Pirith water over parts of the country amid prevailing dry weather conditions.
The initiative was carried out as a religious observance seeking rain and relief from the prolonged dry conditions affecting people, animals and the environment.
The blessed water was dispersed from the aircraft over the land as part of the prayer for rainfall and improved weather conditions.
The initiative comes as several areas of Sri Lanka continue to experience the effects of dry weather. (Newswire)
