SLFPA donates PMUs to National Hospital worth Rs. 1.1 mn

Sri Lanka Food Processors Association (SLFPA) initiated a programme to donate five Multi Para Monitors or Patient Monitoring Units (PMU) which helps monitor the respiratory rate, heart rate, pulse rate, ECG, systolic and diastolic pressure and other critical factors of Covid-19 patients.

SLFPA came forward with this project to appreciate the front line medical personnel and to help in their efforts to fight against Covid-19. The handing over ceremony took place at the National Hospital recently with the participation of the President of SLFPA Nishan Perera, Vice President and CSR Project Chairman Damitha Perera, General Secretary Aruna Senanayake, Treasurer Nadeeshan Guruge and one of the SLFPA Past Presidents Dhammika Gunasekera. Dr. Kumar Wickremasinghe Deputy Director General Health Services accepted the machines on behalf of the National Hospital. The total value of the machines is over Rs 1.1 million.

CMC Engineering Export GmbH, Westmann Engineering and EOAS Organics contributed a unit each, while Country Style Foods (SMAK), Forbs & Walker Commodity Brokers, Trans Continental Packaging and Commodities, Control Union inspections, Rohan Rodrigo Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and Finagle Lanka contributed as part sponsors. SLFPA hopes to hand over a second batch of machines in due course.
