SLPP can win any election – Johnston

The SLPP can win any election as it has re-organised itself in more than 70 percent of the electorates, former Minister and MP Johnston Fernando said.

“Many said that SLPP members will not be able to go to their electorates once again. This was the thinking held by many after we were attacked last year. However, we have been able to re-organise ourselves in more than 70 percent of the electorates,” the MP said, during the SLPP Bala Mandala meeting in Polgahawala.

“The SLPP will win the Kurunegala district by a majority of over 200,000 votes. Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa will obtain a record number of preferential votes. At least 11 SLPP members will go to Parliament from the Kurunegala district. We are ready for any election,” Johnston said.
